A LOOK AT INDUSTRIES OF THE FUTURE

Florida is home to several “industries of the future" -- all of which help to diversify the State’s economic base and factor into the State’s ability to build a more resilient future. Examples of such industries include Advanced Manufacturing, Aerospace and Aviation, Clean Energy, and the Ocean (Blue) Economy sectors. Florida is ripely positioned to leverage and build upon these industries as it seeks to expand its economic base.

ABOUT THIS INITIATIVE

The Industries of the Future initiative was launched by the Economic Recovery Support Function (RSF) mission assigned by FEMA to serve Florida in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian and Hurricane Nicole. This initiative continued on through the Economic RSF supporting Florida in the aftermath of Hurricane Idalia.

Industries of the Future is the result of close partnerships between federal, state, local and nonprofit organizations that have missions to see Florida expand and diversify its industries to become more economically resilient.
