Florida is home to several “industries of the future" -- all of which help to diversify the State’s economic base and factor into the State’s ability to build a more resilient future. Examples of such industries include Advanced Manufacturing, Aerospace and Aviation, Clean Energy, and the Ocean (Blue) Economy sectors. Florida is ripely positioned to leverage and build upon these industries as it seeks to expand its economic base.

DownloadThe Industries of the Future initiative was launched by the Economic Recovery Support Function (RSF) mission assigned by FEMA to serve Florida in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian and Hurricane Nicole and continues on through the Economic RSF supporting Florida in the aftermath of Hurricane Idalia.
The aim of this initiative is to help state and community stakeholders see the potential for achieving greater economic diversification and resiliency through supporting industries of the future.
